Important Notice Course Safety & Management Inst
Management safety instructions must be followed at all times.
Following an incident on the course on Tuesday, we would like to remind all members of the importance of following instructions issued by the Club’s management team, particularly when they relate to health and safety. Due to a fire on the course, a clear instruction was given that the course was not to be played. Unfortunately, this instruction was not followed by a small number of individuals. We want to make it absolutely clear that when the Club closes the course, restricts access, or issues an instruction for safety reasons, that decision must be respected and followed without exception. Such decisions are not made lightly. They are taken to protect the safety of our members, staff, visitors and, where applicable, the emergency services dealing with an incident. Ignoring these instructions can place not only the individuals concerned at risk, but also others who may be required to respond to the situation. The Club takes this matter seriously and has addressed the incident directly with those involved. Going forward, we ask all members to respect and comply with instructions issued by the management team. Any future failure to follow a direct instruction relating to course closure, restricted access or health and safety may result in disciplinary action in accordance with the Club’s rules and procedures. We appreciate the cooperation and understanding of all our members in helping us maintain a safe and responsible environment for everyone. Sophie Gallagher, Club Manager
