Hi Everyone, myself and Brad, are looking forward to captaining Team USA and Team Europe in this years Ryder Cup event.
With only 5 weeks to go, preparations for the event are underway and as in previous years we will start with an evening in the Claret on the Friday night (2nd October) where teams will be announced for the first days pairings.
Day one on the 3rd October will be pairs formats with the field split between Greensomes and Four Ball Better Ball matchplay.
After the first day's matches, there will be an evening meal and much merriment, with maybe a couple of speeches!!!!
The pairings for the Singles on Day 2 will also be announced.
After the matches are completed on the Sunday (4th October) the presentation will be made and the celebrations will commence, for one of the teams!!!!
If you have played before and want to play this year, you will play for the team you have previously played for.
Anyone who has not played before, or wishes to play this year, we will be putting the board up in the Club House shortly, or you can email me on paul.price@pazconsulting.com and we will look to fit you in. We have generally capped it at 40 players a side, so if you do want to play get in quickly.
There will be a cost for food on the Saturday and for those who have not played before, attendance in the evening is mandatory, as is playing on both days.
Failing to play on day two has a detrimental impact on the teams, so please only sign up if you can play both days.
We will also be looking to get Team Shirts for the event, which will be procured for as low a cost as possible, it would be great if you could join in by purchasing and wearing the shirts, but if you have played previously and have shirts from before, that will be fine and if not you can wear colours, Obviously Red for USA and Blue for Europe.
Further details will be provided shortly
So get yourselves ready for the team weekend of the year and get your names to me ASAP.
Looking forward to the Battle.....
Paz and Brad
