Yesterday the team travelled to Carmarthen GC for both sides final match of the season. With one point separating the two at the top of the DGU division one table, this was also the league decider. Strong wins from Billy Lawrence & Tom Wood along with Peter Scott & Olly Davies were not enough against a very interesting and tactically selected higher handicap Carmarthen team on their home course, with all getting numerous shots from us. A massive thank you from team captain Simon Butler for all the support over the last 2 years resulting in a league title and runners up position. Not to be sniffed at. You have all done yourselves, the section & the club proud. It was also a sad day as Peter played his last (for now!!!) match for the club as life brings him to pastures new. Thanks Pete and good luck for the future from us all (unless we are playing against you of course!!) It was great to see 2 more players come up via the junior ranks in Osian Millichip & Olly Nutty with both playing pivotal roles this season.
