Respect for Fellow Members, Gents Changing Room Toilets
Respect for Fellow Members
Following an incident at a recent prize giving, I would like to take the opportunity to remind everyone of the standards of behaviour we expect towards fellow members.
Friendly rivalry, humour and good-natured banter have always been part of club life. However, there is a line between this and behaviour which may leave another member feeling embarrassed, singled out or unwelcome.
Unfortunately, during the recent prize giving, members collecting a prize were subjected to booing from elsewhere in the room. Whatever views individuals may hold, I do not believe this reflects the spirit or culture we want at Bognor Regis Golf Club, and I would ask all members to treat fellow members with courtesy and respect.
More generally, if anyone has a genuine concern about the conduct of another player during a competition, please raise the specific circumstances with the General Manager or Golf & Handicap Committee so that the matter can be considered properly. Concerns of this nature should be dealt with through the appropriate channels rather than through rumour, speculation or comments between members.
We want the Club to remain a friendly and welcoming environment where members can enjoy their golf and one another's company. I would therefore ask everyone to be mindful of how their words and actions towards fellow members may be received.
Gents Changing Room Toilets
Please note, the new toilet cubicles will be installed in the gents changing room tomorrow and Thursday. Whilst this work is happening, the toilet, urinal and shower area will be out of action. You will still be able to access lockers. The function toilets can be used instead.
Thank you for your patience whilst we make these improvements.
