The 2026 finals, held on 2 September, brought together the four qualifying clubs from the Scratch League: Ganton, Huddersfield, Pannal and Doncaster. Ganton arrived as leading qualifiers, with Doncaster drawn against them in the semi-finals while Pannal faced Huddersfield. Doncaster rose superbly to the challenge, defeating Ganton 3-2 after a tense finish. Two matches were still level after 18 holes, before Doncaster secured the decisive points on the 19th and 20th holes to reach the final. Huddersfield, who had beaten Pannal in the other semi-final, proved strong opposition in the afternoon final. Doncaster were eventually beaten, but their performance capped an outstanding season coming just a year after promotion. The run to the final underlined the growing strength of the squad and gave the club a result to celebrate on the county stage. Although Huddersfield took the title, Doncaster’s players can look back with pride on a historic campaign. Qualifying for the scratch team finals for the first time, beating the leading qualifiers and finishing runners-up in Yorkshire represents a superb step forward for the club’s Ladies section.
