Hawkstone Park Golf Club welcomed golfers from across the region on Saturday 5 September for the Mixed Open Team Texas Scramble. There was a fantastic atmosphere on the course as teams competed in a fun and competitive format, with some excellent scores recorded. Congratulations to our winners, Chris Nash, Keith Barker, Angela van der Stap and Kerwin van der Stap from Shrewsbury Golf Club, who took the title with an impressive score of 55.0. The runners-up were Edison Wedderburn, Joanne Wedderburn, Nick Bianco and Selina Williams, representing Enville and Kidderminster Golf Clubs, who finished just one shot behind on 56.0. Third place went to Ian Simpson, Karen Hesp, Jill Jones and Steve Jones from Newcastle-under-Lyme Golf Club, with a very creditable 57.4. Their efforts helped ensure the day ran smoothly and that everyone could enjoy a great day of golf at Hawkstone Park.
