Airdrie Golf Club is seeking an Assistant Greenkeeper to maintain and develop our already well-established golf course. Set conveniently between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Airdrie Golf Club is a thriving, well established club with over 700 members. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to become a part of a club that is really going places. Our greens, laid to USGA specifications, are considered amongst the best in the area and we want to build on that strong foundation to maintain our high standards and continue to improve the entire course. The right candidate will be joining a warm, welcoming club with a strong commitment to developing the on-course and off-course facilities to ensure that we continue to grow our membership and the game of golf. The successful applicant will work under the guidance of our Course Manager to maintain and improve the golf course in accordance with agreed plans. Ongoing training will be provided to ensure that the successful candidate continues to develop their greenkeeping knowledge and skills It would be advantageous for applicants to possess the following qualifications and experience: • NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Sports Turf Maintenance. • PA1, PA2 and PA6 spraying certificates. • Basic chainsaw certificate • Basic first aid knowledge • Full clean driving licence It is also essential that the successful candidate has a pleasant manner and good communication skills. Starting salary from £26,000 and contributory pension scheme.
