Weekly Updates from The Richmond Golf Club
Last week at the club, members beat the Stage Golf Society to retain the Stags Head Trophy after a memorable Stage Show, where the Ladies Choir performed a ’70s disco medley. Greens 5, 9 and 16 have been overseeded, the winter height of cut is going up to 5mm, and new greenkeeper Liam has joined the team. Coming up are the Lady Captain’s charity bridge afternoon (14 October) and three more Friday Roll-Ups. A new partnership with Virgin Active Chiswick Riverside gives members a free Open Week from 19 to 25 October, with TrackMan bays at £32.50 an hour. Registration is open for the black-tie Members’ Annual Dinner on 30 October, where BBC golf correspondent Iain Carter will speak. The clubhouse now closes at 8pm, and Christmas Day Lunch is confirmed. Read the full newsletter here.
