Dear Member, Commencing this Sunday October 18th, 2026 and continuing until next year's Captain's Drive-In, all Sunday competitions will be mixed. Will Ladies please note that if they do wish to play on a Sunday, they must choose whether to play in the main Sunday competition OR the Ladies alternative day competition. They MAY NOT play in both simultaneously. The competition over the next four Sundays will be the Autumn Shootout. This is an individual Stableford Competition. The winner will be the player with the best three combined scores over the four weeks. Each Sunday will also be a competition in it's own right with prizes being paid out relative to the monies received. BREACH OF RULES OF HANDICAPPING You will no doubt recall that last week was course maintenance week and as a consequence this committee deemed that the course was unfit to play golf that was acceptable for handicapping purposes. We cancelled the Tuesday Competition and the Sunday Competition was non-qualifying. Despite this, at least twenty members chose to submit digital scorecards, from the white tees, in a competition that we deemed as unsuitable for handicapping purposes. A further 54 scores were submitted during maintenance week from the yellow or red tees. This is not allowed and is a breach of handicapping rules. The scores posted during this period will be deleted from the system. Please also note that it is a breach of handicapping rules to submit a digital scorecard whilst playing in a better ball competition. This was done by several members last Sunday and those scores have also been deleted. If you have any questions, please email us at handcapandcomp@leeparkgolfclub.co.uk. Best wishes Handicap & Competitions Committee
