New Course Ratings
Certificate received from England Golf and Next Steps
Following on from my previous communication, Today we received the new course ratings certificate for all of the tees for Wychwood Park Golf Club. As expected there has been a reduction in the Slope Ratings for the course, some tee sets more than others. Please bear in mind that the initial Course ratings were set in 2018/19 and were based on a course that has changed somewhat since then as have the measurement processes, criteria and techniques adopted by England Golf. It should be noted that in this first round of review and re-rating, on the whole clubs have seen a reduction in their Slope Ratings. The changes will not come into effect until England Golf have updated the WHS database and we have amended our Club V1 course settings. The new board for outside the proshop will also need to be replaced with a new one. This could take up to 4 weeks to complete, but we will ensure that you are made aware of the cut over date in advance. It should not require any action on your part. We will also have to revert back to a coloured tee convention as per instructions from England Golf. So here are the new ratings BLUE Tees (151) will now be 143 WHITE Tees (148) will now be 139 YELLOW Tees (138) will now be 136 YELLOW Seniors Tees (137) will now be 132 GREEN (132 Men) will now be 121 LADIES (RED 147) will now be GREEN Women 134 PURPLE Men (123) will now be 109 PURPLE Women (137) will now be 123 (The certificate will be available on Club V1 in the documents section and via Howdidido) I am sure this will spark some discussion amongst you all, but please feel free to contact me via email if you need any further information at this time. (Paul.Price@Pazconsulting.com) Further announcements will be made later this week. Kind Regards Paul Price Club President Wychwood Park On behalf of the Handicap Committee
