Dear Member, With the ring mains around the tees now complete, work is progressing to the next stage, including excavations associated with the unexploded ordnance (UXO) investigation. These are scheduled to begin on 22 October, with progress dependent on the weather and ground conditions. The team is also setting out ring main works around the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 16th, 17th and 18th greens, together with the Putting Green. You may notice blue flags and spray markings in these areas. Please leave these markers undisturbed. The Green and Pro staff are regularly communicating with the contractors to keep disruption to a minimum, and ensure that affected areas are informed to the golfers and reinstated to the required standard. The site foreman will continue to provide day-to-day updates to the staff, including details of any green closures or changes to the course. Please be mindful of contractors working on the course and follow any signs, barriers or instructions. Before playing a shot that could reach anyone working nearby, attract their attention and wait until they have acknowledged you and are safely clear.
