ON TOUR WITH ANDY
Portugal Legends Championship – Final Round
Another fantastic performance from Andrew Marshall, finishing FOURTH in Portugal! Andy signed off the Portugal Legends Championship at Pinheirinho Golf Course in style, producing a superb final-round 66, six under par, to secure fourth place on the leaderboard. And what a wonderfully consistent round of golf it was! Six birdies, twelve pars and, once again, not a single bogey on the card! His three rounds of 70, 68 and 66 gave him a total of 12 under par, improving his score each day. What impresses me most is Andy's consistency. Over 54 holes of tournament golf, he recorded just two bogeys, alongside 16 birdies and 36 pars. That's some seriously impressive golf! Some outstanding golf at the top! South Africa's Jean Hugo was in a class of his own, producing a sensational final-round 62, ten under par, to take the title with a remarkable 20-under-par total. His rounds of 66, 68 and 62 were quite exceptional, and he finished six shots clear of the field. England's Greg Owen claimed second place at 14 under par after a brilliant closing 65, seven under. Another tremendous performance, particularly on the final day. Sweden's Johan Edfors took third place at 13 under par, with rounds of 67, 67 and 69. Three rounds in the sixties demonstrated just how strong his golf was throughout the tournament. And there was Andy, just one shot behind Edfors, taking a thoroughly deserved fourth place. A welcome climb up the Order of Merit Andy's excellent fourth-place finish has also given his season another important boost, moving him up four places, from 18th to 14th in the 2026 Staysure Legends Tour Order of Merit, with 1,472.3 points. It's another excellent result and further evidence that his game remains in great shape. A fourth-place finish, a closing 66, another bogey-free round and a climb up the rankings. There's certainly plenty to be pleased about! Well played, Andy. Keep that wonderful consistency going. Hopefully another victory isn't too far away! Steve
