Mats are Mandatory in Winter

Dear Members,
Despite our recent communications, avoidable fairway damage once again evident on the course today.
Fairway mats are mandatory throughout the winter for a reason: grass does not recover in cold conditions, playing without a mat now directly damages the playing surface.
To protect the course for the entire membership, the board will be strictly enforcing this rule. Any member disregarding the mat policy will be subject to disciplinary review. We ask all members to uphold club standards, ensure their playing partners are doing the same and report anyone not doing so.
Please show your appreciation for our greenkeeping team by using your mats on every fairway shot.
