A few important course updates ahead of the winter season. WINTER MATS Winter mats will come into play from Tuesday 10th November. Please ensure you use the mats provided when playing your round. GENERAL PLAY – HANDICAP ENTRIES This is a reminder from the Handicap Secretaries to ensure that, when winter mats come into operation, members playing General Play rounds select the correct tees. From this date when using the EGU App (MyEG), only the YELLOW ALT (MEN) and RED ALTS (LADIES) tees, including their 9-hole variants, should be selected. When using the PSi Screens and HowDidiDo App, you should select only the WINTER YELLOW and WINTER RED tees, including their 9-hole variants. Most errors are unintentional and are mainly confined to members using the EGU App, although some members have selected WHITE tees, which are restricted to Club Competitions and must not be used for General Play entries. The General Committee has agreed that genuine mistakes, which account for the vast majority of errors, will be amended. However, entries where WHITE tees have been selected intentionally will be deleted. Any errors can be communicated to the Handicap Team using the email address below. handicapwellowgolfclub@gmail.com NEW LOCAL RULE – DRAINAGE WORKS With effect from Tuesday 10th November, a new Local Rule will be introduced covering drainage works: "Drainage works on the fairways, and drainage works with exposed shingle in the General Area." This rule will be included on our next batch of scorecards and will also be displayed in the locker rooms for members' reference. Please familiarise yourselves with these changes ahead of your next round.
