Ashford underdogs come good
Ashford wins the 2018 Business Ladies League final
On Sunday 7th October, the Ashford ladies team, together with caddies and supporters, including Club President, Sue Norman, were triumphant in the final of the Business Ladies League against Nizels at Royal Blackheath Golf Club. All the team played brilliantly and didn't lose a match.
This year the League was made up of 12 teams of 5 players from clubs across Kent and Surrey, and Ashford won their section, accumulating the most points of all the other teams. The league is designed to enable ladies who work to play in the competition, with matches (both home and away) held only at weekends throughout the summer. This is Ashford's third year taking part and to win the whole thing is quite an achievement! Their success will be celebrated at the Presentation Dinner at Royal Blackheath in November.
