Over 80 members and guests enjoyed a presentation by David Price from Iberia Heritage about the history of Iberia Common and the Golf Club.
Davids detailed research uncovered facts and anecdotes which had members chuckling and his fascinating speech concluded with some movie footage of Iberia's very own Dennis Wood and his famous swing which few had seen before.
Lady Captain, Toni Sharples thanked everyone for attending, Mr Wood for his presentation and also Maureen Smith for leading the organisation of the event.
Tea, coffee, delicious homemade cakes, Christmas cards and produce were all available and a pleasant afternoon raised over £700 for the Captain’s chosen charity.
