Tuesday's Weekly Update
JOKER:
Last week was an all-female affair! Wendy Goulding had her envelope pulled from the Joker drum. Wendy selected the Number 28 and when opened it revealed the 2 of Diamonds, winning Wendy €50. The lucky wine winners were Lucy Foran, Maria Finnegan and Mary McKeever.
This weekend sees the 100th Joker draw so we plan to give out a few extra prizes this weekend. Lady Captain Miriam has agreed to let us hold the draw on Saturday Night to tie in with the final day of her Lady Captains Prize. The Jackpot will be €2,100 and there will be normal 3 bottles of wine on offer as well. However, there will also be 3 extra bottles of Baileys for some lucky winners
INTERCLUB:
Sunday sees a return to action for three of our Inter Club teams. First up is the Duggan Cup team who take on Moate at 3pm. The Junior Boys play the Semi Final of the Fred Daly Plate against Royal Tara on at 4pm. Both teams have 3 matches at home and 2 away. The last team into action is the Ladies Challenge Cup team who take on Elm Green in Baltray at 4:15pm. There are only a few teams still going in the Inter Club matches so please come out and support the teams where possible. We wish all teams the best of luck. Most of the scoring will be available on the ClubNet App.
HANDICAPS:
Reminder: Please record notable scores for away team and society competitions etc. in the book behind the bar. Leave cards if possible. These scores are important for consideration in the annual review of handicaps in November/December.
CARE FOR THE COURSE:
It has been brought to our attention that some members are walking under the ropes and across the newly seeded areas on the C Course. We would appeal to members to desist from this practice as grass seed has been planted and we want to give this area the best chance of recovering. Your assistance in this is much appreciated.
SUGGESTION BOXES:
There are still some suggestions coming into the boxes which is fantastic. There is one located in the Bar and one outside the Office. Please do keep them coming as they are very much appreciated. If at all possible we would ask that people put contact details on the suggestions so that you can be responded to in the event that the suggestion isn’t easily answered or the explanation is long winded ! We wouldn’t want people to think that their suggestions are being ignored.
