Meeting on Agreed Winter Program at Old Conna 2019-20

Attendees: Dave Curran, Henry Doran, apologies Ronan Smyth.
DC and HD amalgamated their lists to arrive at the following:-
1. Pencil Tinning of all greens and tees- monthly
2. Shockwave treatment of all fairways and pathways.
3. Re-turfing/re-enforcement of pathway ends at 10, 1 and 2. Also two sod width extension of exit off pathway to hole 12 and mesh re-enforcement here also.
4. Crown Raising of all trees, sucker removal from tree bases and herbicide treatment of tree bases that are not mulched.
5. Refreshment of mulching on all trees already mulched and mulching of further agreed trees.
6. Removal of ivy off wall at 18. Cut ivy at base on hole side and over top of wall on reservoir side.
7. Repair of fence around pond at hole 6
8. Tidy up landscaped area at back of green 5 and also two landscaped areas at entrance to lower car park.
9. Repair exit from tee 8 at corner close to tree using solution agreed with EC.
10. Reshaping of approaches to 11 green and swale at front of 16.
11. DC to consult KING re extensive above ground roots of Poplar trees on RHS of hole 15 as to possibility of removal of superficial roots here.
12. Replace Astro Turf on exit from green 18.
13. Mulch landscaped area at LHS of first tee with black mulch and mulch landscaped area at 11 tee box with dry mulch.
14. Also tidy up very bare stony area on LHS of hole 4, between trees at second gap to left of bunker and mulch this area comparably to work done on RHS of same area.
15. Remove damaged conifer through second gap on 13 on RHS and re-turf area.
16. Take all wooden course furniture in and refurbish including tee yardage marker poles.
17. Get flailer (machine County Councils use for trimming roadside hedges) in and flail all course boundaries particularly ditch up along 3, 6, 9, 10, and 13 etc. and clean out all ditches post this work.
18. Repair and re-enforce bare area beside tree on LHS of hole 9, on LHS of cross bunker.)
19. Repair similar bare area on RHS of first hole near fairway bunker near leylandii.
20. Re- Turf top of circular surface drain around LHS of green 1 with higher quality turf.
21. Install in fairway blue plates for junior markers to avoid necessity for staff to dismount during fairway cutting.
22. Hollow core practice tee and infill with pre-mixed sphagnum moss/sand mix.
23. Repair/ re-turf GUR area at back LHS of 12 green just in front of bushes.
24. Repair untidy small area at RHS and back of new driving bay.
25. Get costing from compressor supplier for re-positioning of re-set switch outside enclosure to allow members to access this themselves.
26. Levelling of Tee Boxes- Last year we identified need to do this on holes 17, Yellow 18 and also full tee box at 7. Discuss with Ronan.
