Covid 2020 revised Fixtures
MEDAL COMPETITION FIXTURE INFO
As of Saturday the 27th June 2020 we are resuming medal competition play with a Stableford just to ease you all back into the competitive spirit, please read the below info, any queries contact Match Sec on niggbay@hotmail.co.uk
1) In all cases the rules of golf should be followed unless local rules are in force and players should self-regulate themselves fairly in respect of all other players.
2) Tee Time reservation will be done via the HowDidIDo app on your mobile device or PC or through Sport Aberdeen’s booking system.
We have been allocated 26 times with 10 minute intervals for 3 balls until further notice on Saturdays. Please utilise the full day to get your medals played as it is a struggle for times right now.
3) For Saturday the 4th July tee times the booking system will be available from Midday on Sunday the 28th June 2020 until 8am on Tuesday the 30th June 2020.
Bookings can also be made through Sport Aberdeen.
This method will be adopted for all future Saturday medals until further notice.
4) Players will be asked to sign into medal competitions via the HowDidIDo app or via their HowDidIDo account online.
Open the HowDidIDo app on your phone, tablet or PC and navigate to today’s golf, select sign in and then enter the competition you intend to play. Optional Sweeper.
The sign in for each Saturday will become live at 6pm on the day before the medal (Friday) to avoid signing into the wrong event and 5am on the medal day for Wednesdays and Sundays.
5) Score cards should be used during your round to assist you to update your score in the HowDidIDo app after your round is complete, these will be available from the Box. Cards do not need to be kept and can be disposed of safely.
Verbally discuss your score with your playing partners to confirm your score is correct, open the HowDidIDo app on your phone, tablet or PC and navigate to today’s golf, select Score Entry and enter your scores for each hole by using the plus and minus keys to adjust the score.
6) In the event that a player does not have access to a phone, tablet or PC then they should Post completed Scorecard through the club letterbox.
7) The weekly medals that have passed since the beginning of April have been scheduled in as much as possible.
8) Matchplay competitions have been condensed and some are now only 8 qualifiers only. This ensures that all trophies can be completed in reasonable time.
Draws will be visible on the Club v1 Members hub and on club news and facebook until we get back in the Club

9) There will probably be a delay in posting up the results due to the amount of manual work required to finalise each medal, so please be patient.
I know that these dates may not suit everyone but we have tried our best to get everything crammed in so we have something for everyone to play for.
Golfers Guidance
Members may play in groups of 3 players, whilst adhering to social distancing measures. Fourball groups are permitted, however must not be represented by more than 3 households.
Scorecards provided for competition golf only if no access to electronic functions, no supplementary scores will be available.
In preparation for counting competition play, we should now start to follow the guidelines issued by CONGU in respect of what is permitted to enable competitions to be acceptable for handicap counting purposes. In particular, Preferred Lies in Bunkers are permitted. Local Rule will be brought into effect, with the exception being that the preferred lie taken must be taken by marking, lifting and replacing the ball, not nearer the hole, within six inches of the ball’s current location and within the bunker.
Raking the bunker prior to playing the ball is not permitted and so to enable players to have the opportunity of a reasonable option of where to place the ball when taking their preferred lie, players should make every effort to smooth out not only their foot prints but also the point where their club made contact with the sand to play their ball
Flags will be present on the greens but must be left in at all times unattended.
Hole fillers have been installed, please use two fingers to retrieve your ball.
Do not share golfing equipment.
Upon completion of your round, please vacate the Club grounds.
