Benbow Brothers plant a new tree for the golf club's Centenary
Benbow Brothers have been caring for the beautiful trees on the Hawkstone Park Estates for many years and the Benbow family have had a long association with the Golf club.
Ken and Les Benbow joined Hawkstone Park Golf Club in 1975, their late brother Ray Benbow was Captain in 1981. Centenary President Dale Benbow joined in 1988 and was the Millennium Lady Captain. Jane Benbow became a member in 2001 and Les’s son Tom Benbow (two times Club Champion at Royal Mid Surrey) was Junior Captain in 2007.
The magnificent beech on the Practice Fairway is in its old age although it will certainly carry on for a few years yet. As a replacement for the future, Benbow Brothers have donated an oak tree for the Golf Club Centenary in the hope that it will flourish as the beech declines.
