Introducing our Club Captain
Welcome to 2021
Hello Golfers,
I hope you are all well and staying safe during these strange and difficult times.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the 2021 Club Captain. I am really looking forward to the year ahead as I think It will be a great year and hopefully get the clubhouse open soon which I am sure everyone will be supporting. I would also like to say well done and thanks to Graeme McIntyre (past captain) for a successful year last year, especially after difficult circumstances throughout the year, overall, it was a pretty good year.
Secondly, I would like to introduce my 2021 Vice-Captain. Mr Jake Swan has kindly accepted the position which will see him captain in 2022. I have known Jake pretty much all my life from playing football together at school at an early age to playing golf together as juniors. Jake & myself are very committed to Hollandbush Golf Club & will endeavour to make sure it continues to prosper over the coming years.
Wee bit of exciting news for the year ahead, the Lanarkshire golf league will go ahead this year We are currently in division 5 with Torrance park, Playsport, Lochview, Langlands and Dalziel Park, we will be looking to get promoted this year into division 4. I will be looking for volunteers for the team games which will be played a night during the week (usually a Thursday with a 5.15pm start) so if you are interested you can email me or text me, my contact details can be found in the members section on the app. The same applies to both senior & ladies sections ….roll on the team games!
The fixture list for the coming season has been completed and shall be uploaded soon to documents on the app & also our webpage. As always a fixture card will be printed for those who wish a hard copy.
