Competition Observations
We have now completed two competitions and the Competitions Committee have made the following observations and decisions:

There have been a number of players completing one scorecard for two or three players and this is not acceptable and we will not accept three scores on one card. The rules of golf for competitions say that a single card must be completed by each player. If this happens in future those players will be disqualified.

When marking your scorecard you will mark your own card placing scores in columns A B C or D but preferably in column A. You will check one other players scores by noting their scores in the markers score column at the left hand side of the card so that the Competitions Committee have a way of checking scores are correct if they are front runners in the competition.

On some scorecards the course handicap was missing. If it is missing in future the player will be disqualified. We do not require in singles competitions your playing handicap or competition entry number but all other boxes must be completed.

Signing in for competitions is mandatory and members can sign in on line from 7am on the day of the competition. If a player is not signed in by the time they are due to tee off the system will not accept their scores into the competition when you round is completed. If you do not have a device to sign in online you can preferably use the Player Input Screen in the conservatory or as a last resort ask the Professional to sign you in. However, it is your responsibility to ensure you are signed in and the Professional will not be responsible if he misses signing you in.

When signing in on line the player need only enter his or her surname which will allow the player to sign in and also input their scores on completion of the round.
