The final match in the 2021 league was played at Milngavie GC. On a blustery evening this was a closely fought contest with four matches going to the final hole. Michael Giovannetti secured a halved match followed by a comprehensive 3&2 win by Mark Hughes who was previously a member of Milngavie. Andy Abercrombie had a difficult match against a very talented lady, Lorna McClymont, but prevailed with a 1 up win. Stephen Wightman and Jonny Irving enjoyed strong wins and Ross Cameron secured the overall victory winning on the final green. There were losses for Angus Watson & Adam MacLeod.

As a result of this win the Douglas Park team won the Division 2 championship and will be presented with the Campsie Trophy at the annual dinner.

Over the past two seasons the team have won 11 out of the 12 matches played! An amazing record.
