Winter League 2021/22

Gents Winter League 2020/21 - the main points:
- Teams of 6 players
- 13 holes each week for 10 weeks
- £25 per person

Gents Winter League 2020/21 - the details:
- Teams of 6 players, entry forms are now available in the Pro Shop.
- League will run for 10 weeks.
- You can play your Winter League from Friday to Tuesday inclusive. You can only enter one score each week.
- Stableford scoring with best 4 scores to count each week for the team score. Best 8 weeks out of 10 will count for the overall team standings.
- An individual competition will run alongside the team event. We will confirm how many scores will count towards the individual standings.
- If you wish to enter but don't have a team please ask the Pro Shop or the Club Office and we will endeavor to find a team.
- If you wish the enter the individual competition and not be part of a team you can do so.
- After taking into account feedback from members, we will play over 13 holes each week. The holes in play each week will be communicated before each Thursday. If weather conditions or the Greenstaff Winter programme do not allow 13 holes to be played that week it will be communicated, for example we may only play over 9 holes if the Greenstaff deem that certain holes need to be rested or are being worked on.
- Please pay the £25 per person entry fee in full with your entry.
- This fee includes a meal and entertainment at the Winter League Dinner, details of which will be provided early in 2022.
- We are planning to have a 'risk reward' hole each week, similar to the PGA Tour Risk Reward hole: https://www.pgatour.com/aon-risk-reward-challenge.html. Details of this will be provided before each week starts. The team who performs best in the risk reward hole over the course of the league will be rewarded at the Winter League Dinner.
- There will be a weekly Pro Sweep and twos competition, you can enter the Pro Sweep as many times as you like each week. You can play in the Pro Sweep and the Winter League at the same time.
- If the course is closed on both Saturday and Sunday then the Winter League is cancelled that week.
- We are planning to play up until Tuesday 14th December (6 weeks). Then take a break and restart after the New Year.
- We plan to play the Christmas Fayre, and do the bottle draw and Pro Shop raffle on 18th December.
- All of the above is subject to confirmation, any changes will be communicated before week 1 starts.
