Foot Golf Holes
Free relief from Foot Golf holes is permitted under rule 16.
Most of you will be aware that the club are installing a footgolf course which is resulting in large footgolf holes and hole covers on some fairways and green surrounds. The foot golf holes and covers are classed as immovable obstructions, just like sprinkler heads, and as such free relief can be taken under rule 16. Relief can only be taken if the hole interferes with a players intended swing or stance and cannot be taken if the hole and cover is in the line of play only.
