Richie Blundell - County Champion!

Richie Blundell fulfilled a life long ambition yesterday by winning the Lancashire Amateur Championship, which was being held at our near neighbours Southport & Ainsdale. Richie has played in over 20 previous 'Lancs Amateurs' and has represented the County on numerous occasions.
His superb, consistent play over the 72 holes resulted in a level par 288 total. This led to a 3 man, 3 hole play - off, which he played nervelessly, including a superb birdie on the 2nd (17th) hole. A two putt par at the last secured the victory.
