Mandatory Winter Wheels
As most of you may already know, it will become mandatory this winter to have winter wheels on your trolley.
The need for winter wheels is one that benefits all of us as the use of winter wheels massively improves the condition of the course through the winter months. We have all seen first-hand the damage caused by trollies through the winter, so the prevention of this is an idea we can all be in support of.
It has been trialled at other clubs up and down the country and is proven to have a direct impact not just through the winter, but also the spring months heading into the main season. Winter wheels are also a big benefit to the golfer as the weight of clubs and trolley is displaced across the tyres. They say having a set of winter wheels on is like having power steering on your car.
We will be stocking both Motocaddy and Powakaddy winter wheels for this coming winter, but to ensure everyone has ample time to prepare for this mandatory rule being introduced, we will have a pre-order sheet in the pro-shop. All you need to tell us is make and model of your chosen trolley and we can ensure they're with you in time for winter-golfing.
The pre-order sheet will be ready for you in the pro-shop this week and orders will need to be in before October 15th to ensure they reach us in time. For those who do pre-order the wheels with us will also save £10 off.
