Paul Plant rolls back the years in Sussex Veterans
2nd place finish for Paul
East Sussex National member , Paul Plant , finished a creditable 2nd yesterday in the Sussex Veterans Trophy at Crowborough Beacon GC.
Paul set the pace early with a +1 over par 72 dropping shots on 16 & 17 , he then had to wait until the later groups finished to see if he had won.
Unfortunately, Colin Jones, former Welsh International shot a -2 , 69 to snatch to trophy.
Paul , winner of the trophy in 2018 & 2019 had to settle for runner-up spot. He is now aiming to regain his place in the Senior County Team and find the form that saw him win the Sussex Seniors in 2015 , 7th in the British & 3rd in the English Seniors, a year that he was sadly overlooked for selection for England.
